SHS Youth and Government and the Chamber of Commerce Bring the
City Council and Mayoral Candidates to Voter's Forum

September, 2014
SHS Youth &
     Government

The Sherwood High School's Youth and Government and the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Voter's Forum to help citizens learn more about candidates for
Sherwood Mayor and City Council.  Sherwood High School Commons is holding the event, on Tuesday, September 30th from 6 pm to approximately 8:30 p.m.

Mayoral Candidates in the forum will be offered one question from the Chamber of Commerce Members, one question from SHS Youth and Government, and two questions submitted by audience members. There is no charge to attend the forum.

The mission of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce is to give value to our members and the community through innovation and bold leadership and programs that develop the business climate.  Through our public policy, we inform our members and the public on important issues affecting the business community.

The Chamber provided questionnaires to candidates seeking office in the City Council and Mayoral races for the November 4th elections. Through our questionnaire process, we offered candidates the opportunity to communicate their perspective on business-related issues. In turn, business and industry leaders as well as voters can review and utilize the questionnaires to learn more about the candidates in preparation for the elections. No changes were made to the returned questionnaires, and they were posted after the deadline.

We encourage you to be an informed voter as your vote makes a difference for our community.
