Ambassador Mission Statement:
The Ambassadors are a sub committee of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce dedicated to giving personal value to the members of the Chamber through public relations, social networking, and assisting the Chamber build membership.

Alice Thornton, Sherwood Robin Festival Association

Christine Adams, Cedar Creek Assisted Living

Christine Adams is the Adminstrative Assistant at Cedar Creek Assisted Living. She and her husband are long time Sherwood residents and are both actively involved in the Relay for Life of Sherwood. Christine enjoys reading, cooking/baking, and traveling.

Darci VandenHoek, Kazuri Images

A local wedding and portrait photographer, Darci VandenHoek of Kazuri Studios, is proud to service the Chamber and Sherwood community, where she lives and works. Darci moved to Sherwood 8 years ago and loves the smaller community feel. "I value the commitment of relationships, both in family and the relationships built in a small community. Those commitments have created a strong foundation in Sherwood, unmatched, I believe, anywhere else!" Her passion for others is seen in her commitments, volunteering her photography skills for organizations such as "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep", Relay for Life, local events and school fundraisers. She opened her Sherwood studio in 2008 and loves senior and specialty themed sessions! Besides photographic artistry, Darci provides graphic design, photobooks, cards/announcements and other services.

Renee Brouse, Sherwood YMCA

Renee is the Executive Director of the Sherwood Regional Family YMCA. Mother of two, been married for 20 years. Renee's passion is to serve others by being a positive influence and paying it forward. She likes to read, exercise, do martial arts and be outside.


Sandy Swayze, Univera LifeSciences

Sandy is a Reconnective healer. She helps people to release the negativity that they have acquired through their life experiences. In doing so, blockages that have stopped them to heal, emotionally, spiritually or physically removed. She has led a life of helping others by creating support groups to move them through difficult times. She has been trained in grief therapy and as a health coach. Her mission is to create healthier lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually across this planet.


 Su Schatz, Sunny Day Tree Farm

 

Su is the proprietor and caretaker of the Sunny Day Tree Farm, an 80 acre Tree Farm in Sherwood. Primarily a Christmas Tree Farm, the Sunny Day Tree Farm also hosts special events such as wedding receptions, family reunions, special ceremonies and company meetings. When she is not busy managing the activities of the farm and related family businesses, Su enjoys traveling with her husband, gardening, reading and volunteering her time to the Sherwood Chamber and the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Su came to Oregon in 1995 via Phoenix, Arizona. She and husband Jon have been married for 14 years and have rescued and adopted 7 dogs and 5 cats over those many years. Su feels a special connection to Sherwood and to the many friends she has developed over the years. As her husband likes to say, "Su is the Sunshine in Sunny Day Tree Farm!"


Tom Nelson, City of Sherwood

Tom is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Sherwood. He came to the City of Sherwood from the State of Oregon Economic and Community Development Department where he served over 7 years as a Public Finance Officer and Community Development Coordinator. Prior to his State employment, Tom worked in banking and investments, and served as the director for Chemeketa Community College's Small Business Development Center. Tom spent 24 years in manufacturing management for a Fortune 100 company. He also owned and operated small businesses, and worked part-time as a small business counselor and trainer for Linn Benton Community College for over 12 years, and has volunteered on numerous boards and commissions. Tom has an MBA from Oregon State University. He and his wife, Kim, call Sherwood their home. Tom is also currently on the YMCA Board, a member of Rotary, and a member of Sherwood Community Church of Christ.
